Pengaruh Penggunaan Transtibial Prosthesis dan Axilla Crutch terhadap Tingkat Kepercayaan Diri

Latar belakang: Kehilangan anggota tubuh akibat tindakan amputasi mampu menyebabkan keterbatasan fisik seorang individu untuk melakukan suatu aktivitas dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Keterbatasan ini membuat tingkat kemandirian dari suatu individu menurun. Tingkat kemandirian yang menurun berdampak pada tingkat kepercayaan diri karena adanya keterhambatan dalam melakukan suatu kegiatan atau tujuan. Upaya yang dapat dilakukan untuk meningkatkan kepercayaan diri dari pasien amputasi transtibial ini adalah dengan melakukan pemasangan transtibial prosthesis atau axilla crutch yang mampu membantu mobilitas. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui perbedaan pengaruh penggunaan transtibial prosthesis dan axilla crutch terhadap tingkat kepercayaan diri. Metode: Penelitian ini dilakukan pada bulan Desember 2023 dengan pendekatan kualitatif bersifat deskriptif menggunakan analisis data yaitu reduksi data, penyajian data dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil: Hasil observasi dan wawancara menggunakan sesuai indikator kepercayaan diri yaitu percaya dengan kemampuan diri sendiri, mampu beraktivitas tanpa bantuan orang lain, memiliki konsep diri yang positif dan berani mengungkapkan perasaan yang dirasakan yang dilakukan pada dua narasumber menunjukkan bahwa dengan adanya transtibial prosthesis ini mampu menumbuhkan semangat baru untuk beraktivitas seperti semula.
Kesimpulan: Dari penelitian ini dapat disimpulkan bahwa terdapat pengaruh yang lebih baik dari penggunaan transtibial prosthesis dibanding axilla crutch.
